I have no idea. He makes me nauseous just to look at him. I suppose it just tells you how deep into hypocrisy the modern conservative party are plumbing in their desperation for a change of image.

I agree actually - can't stand him.

It's a measure of the shifting political sands though that he's even getting a reasonable press from a columnist in the Indy....

Why is it a surprise to find a rich Tory standing up for the poor in a paternalist fashion? That was the pattern of Tory politics from Disraeli, through Baldwin, Churchill, Macmillan, Butler, Macleod....

It's those provincial grammar schoolgirls looking out for their own the insufferable Hampstead pseuds in the Sindy want to watch out for.
